• Nestled away in between popular hotspots Amalfi and Positano, you’ll find renovated fisherman’s ruin; Casa Privata. Although chances of stumbling across Casa Privata are slim due to its secluded location, once you do set eyes on it, it’s not somewhere you will forget. Ca’ P’a is an impeccable balance of countryside and ocean. With only seven rooms, the luxury retreat offers guests complete exclusivity and tranquillity away from the noise of the popular neighbouring towns.

    • It’s perfectly manicured lawns lead the way down to its very own private ocean area – but this is not just any beach, there’s no sand but instead it is a rocky vantage point with sweeping views across the mediterranean sea. The only way to get these views is to clamber down a series of rocky steps – but once yoou’ve done that, you are quite literally sat amongst the waves as they crash onto the rocks below. We’d just recommend that you don’t forget anything before heading down there, as walking back up again isn’t the quickest. It’s a sure way to work off those wines though.

We ordered red wine to the room and it came with its very own selection of reds for us to sample – along with cheeses and chutneys. This, combined with the dramatic cliffside ocean view that lies outside of the window, made it a moment to remember.

With easy transport access into Positano (should you actually want to vacate your own little slice of heaven – we did, but it didn’t take long for us to retreat again) it gives you the option to dip in and out of the Pinterest worthy hotspots that are on your doorstep.
